Smart Pedestrian Crossings in the Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias

Under a contractual agreement with the Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias, VC Urban, acting as a contractor for Globitel, undertook the construction and installation of smart pedestrian crossings with LED illuminated signage at selected locations within the urban road network.

The main objective of the project was to enhance the safety of pedestrians and drivers, as well as to improve the visibility of the crossings.

The interventions included:

• installation of illuminated LED panels embedded in the roadway
• installation of central control units and adaptation of the infrastructure to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the system.

The project was implemented in accordance with the requirements of modern urban mobility and the principles of sustainable development.
