Construction of Ramps for People with Disabilities and Accessible Sidewalks in Western Greece

VC Urban carried out a project for the construction of ramps for people with disabilities and the upgrading of sidewalks as part of accessibility improvement interventions at selected intersections in the Region of Western Greece, on behalf of Nuro Solutions. The project was part of a broader program for the construction of model crosswalks and the enhancement of the urban environment.

The interventions included the design of sidewalks and traffic islands, the construction of ramps with appropriate slopes, and the installation of tactile paving for visually impaired pedestrians in accordance with applicable standards. Special attention was given to pedestrian safety, continuity of movement, and the functional integration of the works into the existing road network.

The project was implemented with the aim of improving daily transportation and equal access for all citizens to public spaces.
